night before the field trip....

we leave for the first leg of our journey to Israel in 12 hours from now. I am pretty sure that I am finished packing, but of course i have that sinking feeling like i will be leaving the kitchen faucet running or something. luckily, if that is truly the case, my wonderful mother in law is staying at our house this week to watch the kiddos, so she will shut it off :)

i have my passport and eticket and travelling minty (my childhood "my little pony" minty...she and "zoo guy" (the stuffed character from the children's book "put me in the zoo") will be making the journey with me...and oh yeah...my husband jeff, and 16 other people from our church :)

jeff has a cold, i am scared of our flight, and i actually am starting to feel some mommy-guilt about our leaving the country for 12 days with a 5yr old and 3 yr old at home. but i do know that they will have plenty of fun with grandma laurie the first week, then willow will go to MN with grandma laurie the second week, and peyton will stay home with my mom, grandma sally...without his pesky little sister! :) i know it will be good for them, and i am truly blessed to have such awesome people in the lackner family village :)

i will definitely miss my bff kelley too...i wish she was going along...that would also make it easier to "catch up" on life after i'm gone...i'm just praying that it turns out that it is only my vacations to MN that end up with her having a crisis or five in her life...and that when i vacation internationally it would mean smooth sailing in her world. :)

well, i suppose i should double check my packing list and make sure i really am packed. and make sure to turn off the kitchen sink. i will post next from inside Israel. Shalom!
